2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,700 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 5 years to get that many views.

  1. Not to mention that, unlike climbing Everest, reading this blog won’t cost a dime, and it won’t leave you cold either………….

  2. Ive seen RAAF caribou flying down steep twisting river valleys doing training exercises. They appear, and theyre gone. Always below the level of the valley tops. Sometimes you hear them sometimes you dont.

Larry Bird is the GOAT 33.

    • Hmm, I don’t really know much about aircraft but this was a big lumbering beast. Weirdly it was silent & even *I* know that it should have been droning quite loudly like a bomber or cargo plane. It wasn’t doing maneuvering either. Just straight ahead. Then POOF. GONE.

  3. This wasn’t a jet, more like a bomber or cargo plane. Very slow. And silent, which was all wrong. I know next to nothing about planes but when the water bombers fly overhead during fire season they are very loud. And that’s a lot farther away than what I saw so it was very strange.
